The Barrie Tornado Junior B lacrosse club could see its season end Saturday night.
That’s when Dave Ree’s boys host the Clarington Green Gaels, in game four of their best-of-five first-round playoff series.
The Gaels took a 2-1 lead in games Thursday night in Clarington with an 8-5 victory, putting Barrie on the brink of elimination.
Game time for game four is 7 p.m. Saturday at the Holly Community Centre. If the Tornado wins to force game five, that contest would be held Tuesday night back in Clarington.
Meantime, the Senior A Barrie Lakeshores take on the Mann-cup champion Lakers in Peterborough Saturday, before playing the Brampton Excelsiors Sunday night at the Rama Mask. The Lakeshores go into the weekend occupying the basement of the Major Series Lacrosse loop at 3-7-1, with a game in hand on both their nearest rivals from Six Nations and Brooklin.
The Lakers are in third place at 7-5, while Brampton heads the MSL pack at 9-3.
