New Tecumseth council has approved further growth in west-end Alliston.

A property west of the Sobeys and Tim Hortons on Young Street in west-end Alliston will soon house a retail plaza and restaurant.

New Tecumseth council approved a site plan agreement for the Rizzardo Bros. Holdings Inc. Monday night (Aug. 18). The plan allows for the construction of a commercial development west of the property.

Rizzardo already owns the property. When it entered a site plan agreement in 1998 for the Sobeys grocery store, plans detailed further development on its property to the west.
