Tottenham's Massimo Bertocchi and Banting Memorial High School graduate Nicole Forrester are on the track Thurs., Aug. 21. Because of the 12-hour time difference, the events start airing in Canada on Wednesday night.
Forrester, a former Cookstown resident, starts her high jump competition at 9:50 p.m.
Bertocchi's events can also be followed starting tomorrow night (Wednesday) at 9:20 p.m. with heats for the 100-metre sprint. The long jump is at 10:30 p.m., shot put at 12:20 a.m. and high jump at 7:10 a.m. The 400-metre race is at 10 a.m.
Bertocchi's events for the second day of the decathlon start airing Thursday night at 9 p.m. with the 110-metre hurdles. The discus throw is at 10:05 p.m., pole vault at 12:55 a.m. and javelin event at 7 a.m. The 1500-metre race is the final event at 9:40 a.m.
The equestrian community will be interested in Schomberg's Eric Lamaze. He already has a silver medal hanging from his neck in the team equestrian event, which he competed in with teammates Ian Millar and Jill Henselwood.
The equestrian individual jumping finals start at 7 a.m. EST Thursday.
