Barrie Councilor Jeff Lehman starts his climb up the Barrie Fire’s new aerial ladder truck as part of the department’s demonstration day Wednesday.

The department invited city council and members of the media to try out some of their equipment including the Jaws of Life, water hoses, fire extinguishers and the 105 foot tall ladder.
